Guide to 4th of July Las Vegas Fireworks 2014

July 4th is one of the busiest vacation times of the year for families. Watching fireworks often caps a day of family fun. This hasn’t been lost on Las Vegas hotels where both locals and tourists can find great fireworks shows in all parts of town. Here’s a breakdown of where and when you can watch the July 4th fireworks in Las Vegas

South Strip

Mandalay Bay – Fireworks are go off from Mandalay Beach. You have two options to watch. If you want to be close to the fireworks you can buy concert tickets for $20. Doors will open at 8pm for the concert and fireworks will go off later in the evening. If you don’t want to spend the money you should be able to watch the fireworks anywhere outside on the south end of the Vegas Strip.

Center Strip

Caesars Palace – Photos of fireworks above Caesars Palace have become iconic. There isn’t a much more majestic place to watch fireworks in Las Vegas. You can view these fireworks for free from just about anywhere in the center of the Vegas Strip at 9pm (sharp). If you’re looking for an unique experience that nobody has ever had you can grab a ride on the High Roller observation wheel across the street at The Linq.

North Strip

Stratosphere – Their fireworks show will also be at 9pm on July 4th. Between their observation tower, restaurant and pool deck there are plenty of great viewing areas for these fireworks. The pool area will host a concert to go along with the fireworks viewing. Tickets for the concert and fireworks viewing will be $10.

Downtown Vegas

Fremont Street Experience – If you’re looking for a unique fireworks experience then you might want to head to Downtown Vegas. The Fremont Street Experience will have a digital fireworks show all across the screens on the canopy above you. July 4th is the culmination of UFC International Fight Week in Las Vegas and will be celebrated with a free concert from Papa Roach, POD and Lit. If you step outside of the canopy at 9pm you might be able to watch the Stratosphere fireworks show if you prefer real boom booms.

Red Rock Resort – Red Rock Resort is about 8 miles west of the Vegas Strip in Summerlin. This fireworks show runs for 9 minutes at exactly 9pm. The area is fairly wide open so you can watch the show from the casino, its parking lots or anywhere nearby.

Green Valley Ranch – The fireworks show at Green Valley Ranch near Henderson will also run for exactly 9 minutes at exactly 9pm. Your best vantage point to watch this fireworks show might be the top level of their parking garage. You won’t get the same iconic view you would watching fireworks at Caesars Palace but you should have a clear view of the show.
